Winter Solstice

Yesterday was the longest night of the year and today the first day of Winter. ️️

Take time to connect to nature, reflect on this past year and getting ready for the new year coming. Winter is a time for introspection, slowing down, and taking time for yourself.

Fire is a powerful instrument for today to make us feel warm in our heart.

Light up a fire, a candle, and just create a cosy feel where you can seat and look at the flame taking time to look back at this year and putting intention for the upcoming year. Family time is coming now, it is always beautiful to be with our loved ones, all reunited celebrating Christmas together and a NY to come. It is the most beautiful time to work of our unfinished emotions. Because whenever we are with family, our old samskaras (patterns) always come back, independently of all the inner work that has been done. It is the magic process of inner exploration, there is always something to be challenged within us.

For example when you feel defensive or offended about something or a situation, instead of blaming the other, try to look within yourself, and understanding why do you have this reaction? Try to seat with your emotions. Most of the time our shadows are difficult to be seen by us because we are constantly trying to ignore them, not paying attention, as we don’t want to face them. But let’s think about this Christmas as a good way (if you haven’t done so yet), to come a little closer to your trueself. Whenever you feel triggered, take time afterward to seat alone, write down the situation, and how you felt, in order to understand the root of the issue. Once you have understood that this reaction was the result of an unreleased emotion, let it go by using Hoʻoponopono method: “Thank you, I am sorry, forgive me, I love you”. ️️️

Happy Winter Solstice to all! ️️️
